Project Brief
Consult North are appointed as Project Managers, Cost Consultants and Employer’s Agents to lead the transformation of the Regent Hotel into the Windermere Rooms at The Wateredge Inn. Our client has been expanding aggressively which saw the acquisition of 4 neighbouring hotels. The plan for this particular hotel was to become an annex which would provide additional bedrooms to The Wateredge Inn.What We Did
Time was of the essence and we were tasked in late November 2022 to have the hotel trading by the summer months. Consult North fast tracked the design stage and delved straight into a tender process – managing to appoint a contractor on Christmas Eve. The design stage concluded allowing the creation of 14 new rooms, refurbishment of 15 existing bedrooms and the creation of a manager’s apartment. The works also included the upgrading of utilities, all new M&E, external drainage, painting render and re-roofing works. Our client now benefits from a 38% increase in lettable rooms at this site.
We partnered with a proactive build team and as planned, completion of the works took place in May 2022 ahead of the summer trading months.
