Project Brief
This project was listed whilst the refurbishment works had commenced on site and is a testament to the capabilities of our team to adapt under difficult circumstances. We were appointed as Project Managers, Cost Consultants and Employer’s Agents to lead the refurbishment of The Pheasant Inn, a timeless property in a tranquil location. Preserving the Pheasant Inn’s heritage meant protecting one of the Lake District's oldest Inns. The project required strategic phasing along with a highly collaborative approach to working within a live building and strict programme requirements.What We Did
We have extensively remodelled the building following the acquisition from previous owners. The redevelopment consisted of a 17th-century coaching Inn, Garden House and a Garden Lodge. We successfully delivered the refurbishment of all bedrooms and various lounges from inception, through to construction and completion.Â
Due to the re-modelling of the 3 existing buildings our client now benefits from a 40% uplift in lettable accommodation compared to when they acquired the property.
Consult North are well rehearsed in dealing with dilapidated historic buildings, from cost planning to providing accurate costing advice to ensuring a comprehensive tender pack is put together for the purposes of Contractors pricing the works. This all helps to protect our client’s financial interests and ensures the costs are suitably managed.
